Thank you for visiting our website!  We’re glad you’re here and hope that you will take a moment to check out the various pages of our website to get an understanding of who we are.
 
Our Sunday Eucharistic Worship services begin at 10:00 AM.  
 
We are a member parish of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA)
. Our mission statement is:

Responding to God’s love, we seek to imitate Jesus by living in the fullness of the Holy Spirit in order to bring the love of Christ to our world by word and deed, so that all may come to love and obey Him for the glory of God.
 
We are located at 903 W. Liberty Dive in Wheaton, Illinois (directly across the street from the Wheaton Police Station in the Commerce Square Business Complex).

HOLY WEEK SERVICES FOR 2024

Palm Sunday Service: This year our Palm Sunday Service (March 24th) begins at 10:00 AM with a traditional procession of the congregation waving palms. Our Dioscean Bishop, Alex Cameron, will be with us, preaching the sermon and celebrating the Eucharist. A Potluck dinner will follow the service.

Maundy Thursday Service: All Souls Anglican Church and Great Shepherd will be holding a joint service at All’s Souls’ building located at 25W741 Jewell Road in Wheaton. The service will begin at 7:00 PM

Good Friday Service: Great Shepherd will be holding a Good Friday service at our Ministry Center, and the service begins at 7:00 PM

Easter Vigil Service: Great Shepherd will not be holding an Easter Vigil Service this year.  If you are interested in such a service, there are several Anglican Churches in our area that hold Vigils

Easter Morning Celebration: Our Easter morning celebration begins at 10:00 AM.  There will be an Easter Egg Hunt (weather permitting) for the younger children following the service.  Also coffee, other beverages, and some pastries will be available following the service. Please bring bells to the service.

LENTEN SERMON SERIES

Our Lenten sermon series for this year is entitled, “Sin: What’s All the Fuss?”. This series will explore the topic of sin, what it is, what it is not, how bad it really is, why we humans cannot make up for our sins, why we need a Savior, and who that is. The series begins on Sunday February 18th and ends on Sunday March 17th. Deacons Phil Kenyon and Jennifer Kang will be assisting Fr. George in this series.

SATURDAY MORNING BOOK GROUP

We meet every other Saturday morning via Zoom at 10 AM (Central Time), We will begin a new book study on January 13th. We will be reading and discussing Brennan Manning’s book, The Importance of Being Foolish: How to Think Like Jesus, If you would like more information or would like to join in on the discussion, contact Deacon Phil Kenyon at wheatondeacon@yahoo.com.

Game Night!

Ladies Group
